Empowering communities to protect nature, restore ecosystems, strengthen resilience, and create sustainable livelihoods
Our purpose is to contribute to a healthier, more resilient environment and improved rural livelihoods by restoring and protecting forests, native vegetation, rangelands, mountains, deserts, water resources, and biodiversity. We work alongside local communities to promote afforestation and reforestation, climate-resilient agriculture, sustainable land and water management, biodiversity conservation, and the regeneration of native trees, herbs, and medicinal plants. Through community education, participation, and practical action, we help people better understand climate change, strengthen their capacity to adapt to its impacts—including droughts, flash floods, and other climate-related hazards—and contribute responsibly to protecting ecosystems, conserving biodiversity, and building sustainable, climate-resilient communities.
A greener, healthier, and more resilient Afghanistan where communities unite through the spirit of Hashaar - volunteerism, to restore forests and mountains, regenerate native trees and plants, protect biodiversity, strengthen climate resilience, and build sustainable rural livelihoods.
Our mission is to mobilize and empower communities to restore forests, rangelands, and degraded landscapes; promote reforestation, native vegetation, medicinal plants, and biodiversity conservation; advance climate-resilient agriculture and sustainable land and water management; and strengthen rural livelihoods. Through community education, capacity building, and collective action, we help communities adapt to climate change, reduce the impacts of droughts, flash floods, and other climate-related hazards, and create sustainable opportunities that contribute to resilient communities and a more sustainable future for Afghanistan.
